I must say I am skeptical about this claim. This news item is hot all over the world, but I chose the entry on Physorg to blog, because the comments tend to be more 'scientific' and skeptical.

I am
hoping that what China claims is true. Boy, if it is, that would cause the price of uranium to fall, and many of the uranium mining projects could fizzle. OTOH, if what China claims is indeed true, that would be a boon for mankind -- cheap, abundant energy -- air conditioned domed cities, unlimited de-salinated water...the possibilities are vast.
