How and why we fool ourselves

Let's face it -- the hard, cold facts of science: we are big-brained primates. Our big brains allow us to think about thinking, use symbolic language, create abstractions which are, well, mind boggling, enjoy humour, recognise patterns, reason, create...and that's just for starters.

However a by-product of this reasonable fast, highly computational big brain is that it is prone to make errors.
