Wannabe world government seeks to 'regulate the internet'

No kidding. These over-paid asswipes are serious. First they attacked free speech in proposed 'anti blasphemy' legislation, and now in the wake of wikileaks -- this:

UN mulls internet regulation options

They even webcast the event. Cheeky buggers. The internet is good for mind-control and social engineering but heaven forbid it be used to expose and to regulate the excesses of government and centralized power. Oh no, we couldn't have that.

I predict that the free market will respond to this -- even if it doesn't eventuate -- by the creation and subsequent growth of private networks using technologies like VPN.

We can always count on the UN to deliver silly ideas, and occasionally really dangerous ones.
