Vaginal steam bath finds a place among Southern California spa options

I could make a lewd joke about this, but I'm more inclined to be in awe of this -- firstly how this tradition has been passed from gullible generation to gullible generation, and secondly how in this day and age could some (I assume) educated women (and probably some men too) believe in 'vaginal steaming'.
